To wrap up this series on Leadership as a Spiritual Teaching – in which we’ve discussed the definition of consciousness, how societal conditioning clouds our perception of reality, and how this prevents us from solving problems – we’re going to learn how leaders and managers can start solving problems by learning and teaching a greater sense of consciousness.
The problem is that you can’t just change a person’s conditioning without upsetting them because that’s the lens through which people look at reality. The more it stays the same, the more people feel safe and secure… but we’re lying to ourselves when we insist that life is safe and secure.
The role of a leader or a manger is to take in new information and challenge existing conditionings, to become a kind of spiritual teacher, so that’s what we’re going to do.
